건축과 가구는 다양한 재료를 기반으로 구조의 미를 표현한다는 점에서 유사성을 지니고 있습니다. 이에 착안하여, 건축구조 중 트러스 구조의 패턴을 가구의 조형요소로 접목시킨 가구 시리즈 "YY Series"를 제안합니다. Y6는 TPGF Studio만의 ‘Y구조’를 6번 반복한 라운지 체어입니다. Y구조를 반복해 건축구조를 시각적으로 패턴화해 하중을 분산합니다. Y1는 TPGF Studio만의 ‘Y구조’를 한번 사용한 사이드 테이블입니다. 단독으로 사용 시 나타나는 Y구조의 한계를 콘크리트로 보완합니다.
The "YY Series" reinterprets architectural structure into furniture design, celebrating the shared essence of structure, function, and beauty. Inspired by the repetition of truss structure in architecture, we propose the "YY Series," where structure becomes both a functional and aesthetic element. Y1 is a side table featuring TPGF Studio’s signature ‘Y structure’ reinforced with concrete. Y6 is a lounge chair multiplying the Y structure six times to distribute load and form a rhythmic pattern.
